Awareness, Readiness, Adoption
People’s change journey has three main steps; Awareness, Readiness and Adoption.
Awareness: people need to know ‘what’ is the change, ‘why’ they need it and ‘WIIFM = what is in it for me’.
Readiness: involves enabling the people via learning, training, coaching, tools and resources to have the ability to adopt the change.
Adoption: includes support people receive to help them to adopt the change and perform as intended.
Change leaders lead the people on the journey of change by supporting them during awareness, readiness and adoption. They create the environment for that, send the right signals via their speech and actions and become role models for change.
A clear path for the journey, a clear destination and support along the way increases the chances of delivering successful changes.
